The Color of Gone

It was an honor to work with The Color of Gone! The Color of Gone is is a jewelry line that celebrates men and women's survival of cancer. Each piece of jewelry incorporates the word "gone". The Color of Gone's jewelry collection is meant to serve as a special reminder of the battle that each survivor has won. I was honored to photograph their jewelry and help many men and women beautifully celebrate their survival. The Color of Gone intends for their jewelry to be worn daily and so they make their jewelry durable and less scratch resistant.

The Color of Gone's founder, Betsy McFarland, is a cancer survivor and when she found out that she was cancer free she wanted to share the absolutely overwhelming feeling of joy she felt. With the various colors of ribbons and brackets for different cancer organizations and types of cancer, Betsy wondered what color she should wear to represent her. After talking with her friends and family who suggested clear because the tests were 'all clear' and fireworks fireworks for celebration, Betsy decided that The Color of Gone was diamonds. Diamonds were perfect because they are clear and when you look through them you can see colorful fireworks.

I am so glad that I had the chance to photograph this beautiful and meaningful jewelry that means so much to so many.
